Powered by a rabid fan following behind their incredible live show, Paramore is up for three different awards at the Alternative Press Music Awards (APMAS) in July.
Paramore is on the APMAS ballot for:
Best Live Band
Best Vocalist (Hayley Williams)
Most Dedicated Fans (Parafamily)
Fans can vote for the band in all categories using the online ballot found here.
Paramore’s most recent self-titled album was released in 2013, with a deluxe edition put out in late 2014. The deluxe format featured some bonus tracks, including a duet version of the song “Hate to See Your Heart Break” with Joy Williams, formerly of The Civil Wars.
The band just came off the road behind that material. Their latest round of shows were not an official “tour,” but were billed as a series of events called “Writing the Future.”
The band said on their website that these shows were a transition of sorts, performed in smaller venues and intended to be more intimate with their fans.
“As we acknowledge the past few years (and more) of everything we’ve been through together, we’re also looking forward together at all there is to come.”
The last of those events was in Portland a few days ago. Now fans are looking forward to getting new material soon. But first, vocalist Hayley Williams will be performing at the July 22 APMAS show in Cleveland, not with Paramore, but with New Found Glory, the band her future husband Chad Gilbert plays lead guitar with.
Tickets are on sale now for the APMAS show, which includes a Vans Warped Tour bundle.

Rumor has it that the band will be working on new material soon, but that Hayley Williams herself may be walking down the aisle with Chad Gilbert in September. So fans are wondering when that new material might see the light of day.
One clue may be the Parahoy cruise coming in March of 2016. That sails from Miami to Cozumel. Might that be a good opportunity for the band to play their new stuff to their most hardcore fans? After all, if they do it in the middle of the ocean, it would delay the inevitable postings to YouTube for a few days. Then they could launch the new album when they hit the shore.
It’s a theory. In the meantime, Paramore fans are churning on huge fan-built Twitter feeds and Facebook pages, eager for new news. They’ve started a hashtag to label their discussions: #Paramore5thAlbum. They’re a dedicated bunch, so much so that they are up for their own award right alongside the band and its singer.
