  • Sharon Osbourne is taking a stand for her daughter against Lady Gaga and her “Little Monsters”, trading open letters with the star and criticizing her for the way she’s handling her own fans.

It all began when Kelly Osbourne made some comments about Gaga being pregnant after seeing photos of the pop star wearing loose-fitting clothing (Osbourne is one of the stars of the E! show “Fashion Police” with Joan Rivers, where judges critique the fashion choices of celebrities).

“I think she is pregnant because she has been covering up this part of her body recently and I have been noticing that a lot. And her style has changed and you can’t bleach your hair blonde when you are pregnant,” she said.

Gaga’s fans didn’t take kindly to that and immediately ripped into Osbourne, telling her to kill herself and generally wishing harm upon her. Osbourne seemed to shrug it off–being the daughter of Ozzy is nothing if not a thick-skin builder–but Sharon refused to let it go and wrote a letter to Gaga’s manager asking him to speak with the singer about her fans. He promised he would and, soon after, Gaga posted an open letter to Kelly, blasting her for her work on “Fashion Police” and asking her to take a more positive approach to the way others are viewed.

“Your show breeds negativity, and over the years has even become comedic in nature. It glorifies you and Joan Rivers pointing in the camera, laughing, and making jokes about artists and celebrities as if we are zoo animals,” Gaga wrote.

That response prompted Sharon to speak out again in an open letter on Facebook.

You state “Everyday, through my music and public voice I choose to be positive and work towards a kinder and braver world with our community of followers.” Well this obviously is not translating well to your fans, as a large portion of them have not only been vile to Kelly, but also other celebrities such as Madonna, Adele and Rihanna. “You say a kinder, braver world” I don’t know what world you live in, but supporting disgraceful fan comments doesn’t fall under the words “kinder and braver.” It comes under the heading of bullshit.

In closing, stop wearing fur, stop looking for publicity, and stop using your fans to belittle not just Kelly but an endless stream of celebrities. A word from you would stop all the hideous, negative and vile threats from your “little monsters.” Let me know if you want to continue this debate. I’m an open playing field for you my darling.

    Gaga has yet to respond.
