Nikki Reed is engaged to Ian Somerhalder!
The Vampire Diaries star and Twilight alum have taken their relationship to the next level after only six months of dating.
The couple confirmed their relationship in July and moved in together only three weeks later.
Of course, Nikki Reed accepted Somerhalder’s proposal. Who wouldn’t?
“She accepted with glee,” a source tells Us. “She is madly in love.”
Apparently, Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder have had their eyes on each other for a while.
Another source told the mag, “They were friends before, the groundwork had been laid before. They had always been attracted to each other, but always in another relationship. It may seem quick, but they knew it was right. They believe in the same things. They are dedicated to their work and helping others.”
This will be the first marriage for Ian Somerhalder, who previously dated Vampire Diaries co-star Nina Dobrev, and the second for Nikki Reed, who was married to American Idol alum, Paul McDonald.
“They’re so happy,” a source told E!. “They were crazy happy from the start. Their families love each other. It just feels really right.”
Nikki Reed and her future hubby already have a jump on the whole parenthood thing. They have adopted horses Eagle and Millie, a kitten named Sohalia, and dogs Nietzsche and Enzo.
