Nick Stahl, who played John Connor in “Terminator 3”, has been placed in a psychiatric hospital involuntarily after a long, difficult battle with drugs.
The actor–who was also played villain Yellow Bastard in “Sin City”–began making headlines last year when he went missing, turned up a few days later in rehab, and then disappeared again. His wife, Rose, said she believed he was going to L.A.’s Skid Row to score during the times he ran away.
“He wants to be well,” Murphy told E! News. “He’s a good man and we want him home so we can help him.”
News of the actor’s placement in a psych ward was first reported by TMZ, and the site said he was driven there by a friend around 3 a.m. this morning. Stahl recently said in an interview that he was doing much better after an arrest at a Hollywood porn shop, where authorities say he was “touching himself”. The actor said it was all a misunderstanding.
Stahl commented on Amanda Bynes’ troubles recently, as well, handing out advice as a former child actor who has seen his share of troubles. He recommended she stop sharing every moment of her life on Twitter and disengage from petty arguments on the social media site.
“She’ll figure it out. She’s young,” he said.
