Nick Gordon didn’t cause the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown. That’s what a relative tells People magazine anyway.

“Nick says he didn’t do anything to hurt Krissi,” the family member says. “He did not cause her death.”

Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive in her bathtub at a home she shared with Nick Gordon back on January 31. She never regained consciousness. On Sunday she passed away.

An investigation launched by the Roswell, Georgia Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations is now a death investigation. Nick Gordon is said to be a person of interest in their investigation.

Regardless of what authorities are doing, relatives of Gordon claim that takes a backseat to the mourning Nick Gordon is doing in light of Bobbi Kristina’s death.

“He lost a soul mate,” the relative says. “They were young people who had a troubled background but were in love.”

Conservators for Bobbi Kristina Brown filed a multi-million dollar civil lawsuit against Nick Gordon recently. The suit alleges he physically and emotionally abused Bobbi Kristina, and that he stole money from her bank accounts, too.

Even though Bobby Brown wouldn’t allow Nick Gordon to visit Bobbi Kristina while she was hospitalized, he reportedly has plans to crash her funeral. He told family members he wants to kiss her lips one last time.
