The Backstreet Boy just became a Backstreet man, as singer Nick Carter married Lauren Kitt over the weekend, an actress and fitness guru.

Immediately, Carter took to Twitter to share the happy news and said marrying his longtime girlfriend couldn’t have been any sweeter. He also alluded to the fact that she’s his true soul mate.

“Happiest day of my life 4-12-2014 I married my best friend and woman of my dreams,” wrote Carter. “Lauren Kitt Carter honeymoon time.”

Back in 2013, the blonde haired crooner said he couldn’t wait to purpose to Kitt and the ring he brought her was burning a hole in his pocket, and until the big moment finally arrived, each day was an anticipatory blur.

Carter also asked Kitt to marry him in the middle of the ocean on his boat, which sounds pretty romantic.

“I had the ring in my pocket for two weeks,” Carter recalled.

“It was driving me insane. I just wanted to get it out of my hands and on to hers…..My boat was in such bad condition because I hadn’t used it for like six years. It took me five days literally on my hands and knees, scraping up my body. The engine wasn’t complete yet but we still decided to go out.”

According to an eyewitness, some of Carter’s Backstreet band-mates were in attendance like Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Howie Dorough. However, Nick’s little brother Aaron Carter couldn’t make it, which leads one to wonder if the two have some sort of beef.

However, Aaron not showing up didn’t seem to take away from the beauty of the day, said the eyewitness.

“At the end of the ceremony they shared the longest wedding kiss I’ve ever seen,” claimed another source. “A full minute later they were still kissing. They seem crazy in love and thrilled to be married. You could feel the love bursting out of them.”
