Since Remember Me was announced this month as Gamescom, Capcom has slowly been letting gamers know what they can expect from the new cyberpunk action game. Today, in conjunction with their presence at the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom has released a walkthrough video that details the rather in-depth fighting system found in the game.
In Remember Me, players will take on the role of Nilin, a “memory hunter” who has had her own memories altered. To find out why, she makes her way across the rooftops of Neo-Paris using her cybernetic powers and martial arts skills. It’s those martial arts skills that are revealed today, and it turns out that players will get quite a lot of customizability when it comes to Nilin’s fighting style.
The game appears to use a fighting style popularized by the Batman: Arkham games, and seen in more recent titles such as Sleeping Dogs. However, gamers will have the opportunity to tailor their combos to fit their playstyle or a certain situation. Different combinations can be made to deal extra damage, provide health regeneration, or reduce the cooldown on special moves. In addition, special combo links can be inserted into combos to amplify their effects.
Remember Me is currently set for a May 2013 release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC.
