The new Google Maps has been around since May in preview mode. It feels so long ago that it's hard to even think of it as a new product at this point, but the company just announced that it is finally leaving preview, and is about to be available to everyone around the world.

Here's a refresher on what's new:

Just because it's leaving preview mode doesn't mean its perfect.

Google Maps VP Brian McClendon says, "With any product redesign, there may be bumps along the road. We're hoping that you're as excited as we are to navigate uncharted territory in pursuit of the perfect map. As always, we want to hear what you think as we work to improve the new Maps over time."

You can let Google know here.

Google is making the new Maps available on the desktop to everyone over the coming weeks.
