Netflix is promoting a new “original” on its homepage today. It’s called Sizzling Bacon. It appears to only have a single episode so far, and it’s twenty minutes long. With a TV-G rating, it’s definitely for families (at least those who enjoy bacon).

Here’s the description:

The boundaries of TV and time go up in smoke with this tasteful, “Memento”-style puzzle that takes the viewer out of the fire and into the frying pan.

It’s pretty captivating, though the ending could have been better.

When it’s over, it recommends that you check out Footloose, The Following and She’s Having a Baby. These all, of course, star Kevin Bacon.

Obviously this is an April Fools’ offering, but hopefully they’ll keep it around so you can just play it like the Fireplace for Your Home videos from the holiday season.

Update: Apparently there are more of things. There’s one about Rotisserie Chicken, and possibly others we haven’t seen yet.
