It appears that Netflix is really now going full-throttle with the expansion of its exclusive stand-up comedy offerings.

Earlier this summer, Netflix exclusively put out a John Hodgman special, before telling investors that it was going to ramp up its exclusive stand-up comedy and documentary content. Since then, they’ve released specials from Rob Schneider, Doug Stanhope and Mike Birbiglia. Still, Netflix has done virtually nothing to promote any of these so far.

Last week, however, news came out that comedian Aziz Ansari will get a Netflix exclusive in November, and that Netflix will heavily promote this one. News also came out that Netflix has specials from both Marc Maron and Kathleen Madigan in the works.

Today, we learn (via Deadline) that Netflix is preparing to debut a special from Russell Peters, as well as a “docu-series” about him, so there’s the further expansion of documentary content as well. Deadline reports:

The streaming service will be the exclusive home of comedy special Notorious and docu-series Russell Peters vs. the World toplined by international standup star Peters. The 70-minute standup comedy performance and four part docu-series following Peters on his global Notorious tour will premiere Oct. 14 and will be available to stream in all territories where Netflix is available – U.S., Canada, the UK, Ireland, Latin America, the Nordics and the Netherlands.

This one too, according to Deadline (who spoke with Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos) will be heavily marketed.

As Netflix expands its exclusive comedy offerings (which also include the likes of Arrested Development, Orange is the New Black , Derek and Bad Samaritans), it also continues to build upon its general catalogue. A recent example would be a deal with Fox to stream the sitcom New Girl, the second season of which will soon appear on Netflix.

Netflix currently has three other Russell Peters stand-up titles available for streaming.
