Natasha Richardson and Liam Neeson shared 13 years of marriage before she died in a skiing accident in 2009. During a recent interview with SiriusXM’s My Favorite Song with John Benjamin Hickey, Liam Neeson talked of how Natasha Richardson sang to him on their wedding day. Their wedding song was a 1970 Van Morrison hit called “Crazy Love.”

“Behind my back, Natasha had been taking singing lessons to sing it to me,” Neeson said. “After the ceremony, we were all going in to start the night’s festivities, and she grabbed the microphone, and she sang me this. I was like, ‘Wow.'”

Natasha Richardson died of a head injury following a fall she took during a ski lesson. She was 45 years old.

Liam Neeson met his future wife when the two starred in Anna Christie on Broadway in the 1990s.

In addition to her husband, Natasha Richardson left behind their two sons, Michael and Daniel, who are now 20 and 19, respectively.

Despite the bittersweet memory of his wedding day, this gift of song from Natasha Richardson is surely something Liam Neeson will treasure for the rest of his days.
