I know this is a hard pill to swallow, but if you only ever give your mother flowers every Mother’s Day she’s sick of them. She won’t tell you she’s sick of them because she’s your mom.
Mothers love you no matter how hard you fail at things like getting good Mother’s Day presents.
And if this is a last minute scramble to get your mother flowers because you somehow forgot, be ashamed of yourself. You’re giving your mother the equivalent of last year’s unopened fruitcake!
Regardless of the reason, the fact is that Mother’s Day flowers are old news. Everyone gets their mom flowers.
Isn’t YOUR mom worth more than a stereotypical and often last minute present?
Unless you put hundreds of dollars and very specific thoughts into that arrangement…come on now. You can do better.

Mom works very hard to take care of everyone else, often neglecting herself. Moms should be pampered and appreciated more often than they are.
Check around for Mothers Day deals at local spas.
Take Her Out To Eat
If a mom doesn’t see her kids very often, it can be a nice treat for her to be able to spend time with them.
If you don’t want to sit around the house reminiscing, why not take mom out to eat? There are bound to be Mother’s Day deals at various restaurants, so keep your eyes peeled.

If it’s your significant other that’s the mother in question, she’d probably still prefer an evening out to hastily-chosen daisies shoved in her face.
Send Her On A Vacation
If it’s within your budget to do so, consider sending mom on a vacation as a mother’s day gift. Perhaps a cruise to the Bahamas or a weekend in Paris. It could be a trip to Las Vegas or to a lovely bed and breakfast in the countryside.

Tell her you are sending her on a vacation because you appreciate how hard she works and that she needs a break and prepare to be the favorite. Okay, she won’t say that you’re the favorite, but you are now.
