Molly Sims gave birth to a baby boy on Tuesday, June 19, according to People.
Sims, 39, and husband Scott Stuber, 43, wed on September 24, 2011 in Napa Valley California. The two dated for over a year before becoming engaged in May. This is their first child.
Sims, a native of Murray, Kentucky, is known as a supermodel that appeared in multiple issues of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She is more recently known for her role on the NBC series “Las Vegas” that ran from 2003 to 2008, co-starring James Caan and Josh Duhamel. She has also appeared in a few movies, including Yes Men, The Benchwarmers and Starsky & Hutch.
Stuber is a producer for Universal Studios, having worked on films such as Ted, Battleship, and Role Models. He was previously married to actress Rachel Nichols of the TV show Continuum.
The sex of the baby was revealed to People in April. At that time Sims naturally expressed nervousness and excitement about the prospect of becoming a mother: “I am a little nervous about the delivery and breastfeeding. I hope I can do it, I hope we come through. I am so excited to meet him and just hold his hand.”
Us Weekly is reporting that the little bundle of joy weighted a little over 7 lbs. The baby’s name has not been announced.
In her latest blog entry before birth, Molly described herself as having severe feet swelling and carpal tunnel that left her right hand completely numb. She also started cleaning her house… a lot: “The maternal instincts are really kicking in, people! I’ve cleaned my garage, organized my closets, and put the whole pantry in order—all with one hand mind you! I want to clean EVERYTHING in sight, but I just have to remind myself to relax, breathe, eat well… because in less than a week, we’ll finally get to meet our little guy and I can’t think of anything I’ve ever looked forward to more.”
Thank you to all my followers for all your best wishes as we wait for Baby Sims-Stuber! We can’t wait to meet him! xoMolly
