  • Hollywood’s cutest little couple has split. Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom, who look like a pair of elves from his “Lord of the Rings” set, confirmed their split on Thursday as reported by E!.

Bloom, 36, and Kerr, 30 started dating in 2007, and were married in July 2010. Miranda gave birth to their son, Flynn, on January 6, 2011.

A rep for Bloom exclusively confirms the breakup. “In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months,” the rep said. “After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation. Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family.”

The split is a bit of a surprise, eventhough it is reported that they have been seperated for the past few months. Kerr gushed about Bloom during an interview for the November 2013 issue of Cosmopolitan. “When I saw Orlando on Broadway in Romeo and Juliet, I was blown away,” she said of his current stint on stage. “For someone to be able to learn all that and hold the energy to do it every day, six days a week — I have so much respect for him.”

So, what happened? They were so CUTE! According to Us Weekly, a source said, “It’s been a long time coming.”

    Seriously?

I’m sure the details will slowly make their way out of the cracks. However, I did not see this coming. Although so many marriages, especially Hollywood marriages, are doomed for failure, the marriage of the elf and the angel seemed to be a little more stable than many that have come before. I guess not.
