Miley Cyrus Warns Parents About Tour’s Raunchiness

Ever since Miley Cyrus twerked at the MTV Video Music Awards last year, it seems that she’s been out to prove one thing: That she’s no longer Hannah Montana and she’ll do almost anything to let people know that.

So it’s probably no surprise that her Bangerz Tour is full of carefully planned raunchiness, which may be appealing to some of her young fans but not necessarily their parents.

Over the past few days there have been several reports that the 21-year old singer’s tour may be canceled because a lot of parents think it’s too racy. However, those reports have since been denied.

“There is no truth whatsoever to any stories of rumors of venues pulling out of the Bangerz Tour,” said events company Live Nation.

“Miley has created a tour that’s big, spectacular, entertaining and everything you would expect from Miley Cyrus. Reviews have been amazing and most important, fans are loving the show and having a great time.”

So far the tour has received tons of attention, but not really for the actual songs or Cyrus’ performance. Most of the hubbub has been about how risque the show is, and how it’s extremely inappropriate for young teens and preteens, since they make up a large number of Cyrus’ fan base.

But will all of these complaints force the singer to tone it down a bit or tweak her performance at all? Probably not, since that would totally go against her contrived image of being a rebellious rock star.

This past Thursday Cyrus took to her Twitter account to let people know that things will continue to be raunchy on her tour, so folks should brace themselves for the unexpected. “You can’t say I didn’t warn you,” she wrote. “Now sit back relax and enjoy the show.”
