Miley Cyrus finds herself all over the news on any given day of the week, and with that sort of media attention comes the attention of other, less desirable people. Namely, delusional ones.
Luckily for Cyrus, she was away when a man by the name of Jason Luiz Rivera jumped the fence at her home and demanded to be let in because he wanted to see his “wife”, claiming they had known each other for five years. When he couldn’t gain access to her home, he reportedly began throwing himself against the side of the house in a fit of crazed anger before hiding in the bushes. When police found him, he was brandishing a pair of scissors.
“He thinks they were married,” Lt. Brian Wendling of the Los Angeles Police Department said. “And I would say delusional is a good characterization of him.”
This isn’t the first time an overzealous admirer has attempted to get close to the star; she’s had her share of stalkers, one of whom accidentally jumped the fence into her neighbor’s yard by mistake while trying to get into her house. He was arrested for trespassing.
