Miley Cyrus doesn't care what anyone thinks of her.

Although most fans probably assumed she didn't, she made it quite clear during her recent interview.

On Monday Oct. 13, the "We Can't Stop" singer made an appearance on Australia's Sunrise TV where she shared her opinion of the scrutiny she's often faced with because of her risqué, over-the-top image.

The 21-year-old singer has become known for her racy outfits and jaw-dropping, sexualized performances.

Some critics have even called her "crazy." But, of course, Miley could care less! As a matter of fact, she embraces the "crazy" persona she's become known for.

"If I wasn't here, I would like to be doing maybe some sort of stand-up comedy," Miley said. "I am the joke. Look at me. I'm a walking joke."

The "Wrecking Ball" singer also revealed why she doesn't mind being called crazy, weird or different. She admitted she's definitely "not normal."

"It really doesn't bother me when people tell me I'm crazy, because I am...I grew up around people like Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton, and those people are not normal."

Although "crazy" is just a label, Miley also discussed an important personality trait she appreciates being called - kind. "It's just always been [about] the way you treat people," the Bangerz singer said.

"There's many girls that I know that are in this industry that come out and sit like this and they'll be all polite, but in person they're not so polite, and they're not so kind," she explained. "And I've heard that my reputation is a good one. I say hello to everybody and I treat everybody the same."

Then, she quickly changed her mind about treating everyone the same! Miley joked about the difference between the people at the top and bottom of the entertainment totem pole.

"I treat people at the bottom of the list much better than people at the top, because the people at the top have enough people sucking up to them," she quipped. "So anytime anyone thinks I'm crazy, it's like, I'd rather be crazy than not a nice person."
