Michael Jordan is probably not used to being turned away from anything, so it must have come as a shock when the basketball icon was kicked out of a posh country club recently for violating the dress code.

The club, which of course has its own golf course, says that Jordan refused to go along with the rules for appropriate attire on the green, which consists of a collared shirt and Bermuda shorts. Instead, he wore cargo shorts and whatever shirt he wanted, probably because he’s Michael Jordan–and a grown man–and should be able to dress however he wants. The Florida club has now banned him from its gates, much to Jordan’s consternation.
