Meredith Vieira’s daytime talk show The Meredith Vieira Show has been renewed for a second season.

The show, hosted by former The View and Today host, has been airing for less than two months and has already gotten the go ahead for season two by NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution.

The show is based out of Rockefeller Center in New York City and airs in 98 percent of the country, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The Meredith Vieira Show has the full commitment and support of NBCUniversal and we could not be happier to bring it back for a second season,” Ed Swindler, President NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution and NBC Broadcast Operations, said. “With its singular host and talented producers, Meredith has grown creatively since launch, continues to gain viewers and we are optimistic it will emerge as a staple in daytime.”

Since the show premiered on September 8, ratings have been increasingly high among the women’s 25-54 demographic.

“We are proud to have Meredith Vieira on our stations for a second season,” said Valari Staab, President, NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations. “Meredith is genuine, smart, warm and funny, and she has our strong support to help her continue to grow her show in this very challenging day part.”
