Megyn Kelly has reportedly scored an interview with Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, who has been fighting a judge’s ruling that she must issue marriage licenses to gay couples.

The news comes just months after the Fox News anchor sat down with the Duggar family in the midst of the controversy that surrounded eldest son Josh; Kelly spoke with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar as well as Jill and Jessa, two of the most popular Duggar siblings who also happen to be victims of Josh’s sexual abuse. The interview led to soaring ratings for Megyn’s show and garnered support from the Christian groups supporting the family, which will likely lead to another ratings jump.

Kim Davis earned instant fame recently when she began to deny gay couples marriage licenses after the Supreme Court ruled same-sex marriage legal in all 50 states, saying it was against her religious beliefs to do so. Even after a judge ruled she had to issue them as part of her job, Davis refused and ended up spending five days in jail for contempt of court. After her release, she garnered the support of several members of the Republican party, including Mike Huckabee.

Davis said during an interview with Good Morning America that she has been personally attacked by many following the near-constant news coverage of her office and was called names like “Hitler” and “homophobe”.

“Those names don’t hurt me. What probably hurt me the worst is when someone tells me that my God does not love me or that my God is not happy with me, that I am a hypocrite of a Christian,” Davis said.

It’s unclear at this point what sort of hard-hitting questions Megyn Kelly might ask Davis, but many who have been following the story are eager to learn whether her alterations to the marriage licenses that have been issued to gay couples (the removal of her name) will make them invalid.
