As a surprise for his audience at The Roxy Theater on Halloween, rocker Marilyn Manson brought two guests to join him onstage: Johnny Depp and Die Antwoord’s Ninja. The two joined Manson onstage for a performance of his song “The Beautiful People” at a Halloween concert on October 31, Friday.

While Depp played the guitar, Manson and Ninja reportedly paraded on the stage and worked the crowd for the single off Antichrist Superstar. Ninja hugged Depp at one point during the song.

Manson had hosted Depp before at one of his performances. In 2012, Manson and Depp performed together at the 4th Annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards. Meanwhile, Depp also played guitar on a cover of Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain” that Manson did and was released as a bonus track.

Depp and Manson first became friends with each other on the set of 1999’s Sleepy Hollow. Since then, Manson has also been showing up at red-carpet premieres of Depp’s films, including 2001’s From Hell, 2006’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, 2011’s The Rum Diary, and this year’s Transcendence.

The last time that Manson had published an album was for Born Villain in 2012. However, Manson will reportedly be launching a new album in 2015. He recently launched a single called “Third Day of a Seven Day Binge,” which is the first from his upcoming album.

In between musical projects, Manson has also been known to dabble in acting, having appeared in Once Upon A Time and recently, in the role of a white supremacist, in Sons Of Anarchy.

Meanwhile, Depp has also been having a music-filled year in 2014. The 51-year-old actor has collaborated with other musicians. Depp has performed with Aerosmith, Paul McCartney and Ryan Adams as well as briefly joined the New Basement Tapes, played with Willie Nelson and recorded something for Butch Walker’s upcoming LP.
