Pop star Mariah Carey this week announced that her The Elusive Chanteuse Show tour will be stopping in Australia and New Zealand. The singer will arrive in Australia in early November, playing dates in Perth, Adelaide, and Melbourne before moving on to Yarra Valley, Sydney, Auckland, and Brisbane.
The Elusive Chanteuse Show was announced last month. The tour is being organized in support of Carey’s latest album, Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse.

The tour is set to begin in early October with dates in Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan. Carey will continue to play in cities throughout Asia during October including Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei, and Bangkok. Her stops in China will be the first time the singer has ever performed on the Chinese mainland.
The Elusive Chanteuse Show was originally set to begin one year ago, but was postponed when Carey’s album was delayed. The singer’s shoulder injury in July 2013 also contributed to the tour’s delay. Her latest album was finally released back in May, paving the way for this year’s tour.
Carey is currently rehearsing for the Chanteuse tour. In addition to songs from her new album, the singer stated last month that the tour’s set list will include her big hits, fan-favorites from past albums, and even some surprises. She also recently shared some behind-the-scenes pics of the rehearsals via her Instagram account:
As Carey has been focusing on the new tour, the entertainment media has been focusing on the singer’s strained relationship with husband Nick Cannon. The celebrity couple have been married for over six years but are now separated. They have two children together.
The couple’s relationship difficulties started surfacing in early summer with rumors of impending divorce. Though Cannon dismissed the rumors at the time, he confirmed the couple’s separation last month.
