The widow of actor Patrick Swayze just got engaged to Albert DePrisco, a jeweler who’s the president and owner of A.M. DePrisco Wellesley, in Wellesley, Mass. The 58 year old business man purchased the company from his family in 1995. And according to People magazine, DePrisco popped the question to Niemi on Christmas eve, and she responded with a resounding yes.

It’s been nearly five years since Swayze passed away from pancreatic cancer at age 57, and he was married to Niemi–who’s also 57–for 34 years. Besides being the wife of the famed actor, many know Niemi from the 2003 film “One Last Dance,” in which she wrote, directed and starred in. Swayze appeared in the film as well.

In an earlier People interview, the blonde beauty said she didn’t want her husband’s death to discourage her from finding love again, but she didn’t want to rush it. “I would love companionship love,” she said. “I hope I’m not one of these women who never wants to have another relationship. “But who knows, that’s another bridge I’ll cross when I come to it. I may get there and go, I don’t know. But I like to think that I can.”

In 2012 an inside source told The Globe that Niemi and her husband-to-be have been sharing lots of time together and they’ve been traveling to various places as well. “Lisa’s totally smitten with Al. They’ve been crossing the country for months to spend as much time together as they can,” revealed the source.

And before Swayze died, the source said he had many talks with his wife about finding love again and moving on with her life.

“[Patrick] was adamant that Lisa go on with her life after he died,” said the insider. “It worried him terribly that she might shut herself away in her grief. He told her he wanted her to live and do what she did best, giver her greatest asset, her love to another.”
