Lindsey Vonn scored her fourth straight victory in Sweden on Saturday, when she won a World Cup giant slalom. Sadly, teammate Michaela Shiffrin missed the race, having crashed earlier in warmups and sustaining an injury. Shiffrin was taken to a local hospital where she was undergoing tests on her right knee.

According to a report from the New York Times, Vonn clocked a two-run time of two minutes and 4.70 seconds.

Saturday’s win increased Lindsey Vonn’s lead over Michaela Shiffrin in the overall standings to 104 points. Lara Gut of Switzerland, who finished in 13th place, is now third over all, coming in 122 points behind Lindsey Vonn.

This was the 71st World Cup win of Lindsey Vonn’s entire career. She broke the previous women’s record of 62 wins last season. Her next goal is taking aim at Ingemark Stenmark’s impressive 86 victories.

“I love Are, I’ve had some good races here. This is one of my GS [giant slalom] wins that I had here,” Lindsey Vonn said following her win on Saturday.

“So I was watching some video from that win last night, and I have a lot of confidence coming into this race from Lake Louise,” she added. “I just gave it everything I had, I tried to arc and I’m happy that I was fast.”

Lindsey Vonn has long done the U.S. proud with her downhill accomplishments. Might this season be her best yet?
