Lil Snupe, the 18-year old rapper discovered by Meek Mill last year, is reportedly dead after being shot, though details haven’t been released.

Rumors began last week about the young artist’s death, but many were quick to pass it off as a celebrity death hoax. However, as more reports come in, it appears to be true. His manager, Leem7st, tweeted that he got a call about the news early on Thursday morning.

“The call I got this morning is un real RIP 2 my Lil n—a lilsnupe,” he wrote.

Meek said he saw huge potential in Snupe and snatched him up right away.

“He was spittin’ so much pain, he’s from the south with a flow like an east coast guy,” Meek said. “Like with that bounce flow, all over the place, he really can spit, and he was talking that talk that I can really relate to. I seen potential in him.”

As of now, no details about where the shooting took place have been released, or whether police have any suspects. We’ll update this story as soon as information is available.
