LeAnn Rimes has spoken quite a bit recently about personal things; in a May interview with Us Weekly, she talked a little about her new album and how hard it was to write about her affair with now-husband Eddie Cibrian. Rimes has a pretty public ongoing feud with Cibrian’s ex-wife, “Real Housewives” star Brandi Glanville, and entered rehab last year to learn how to cope with stress and anxiety after she says she was bullied by Glanville and her friends.

“This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be,” she said at the time. “All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I’m hoping they’re not going to affect me as much. I’ll have the tools to know how to deal with them.”

Now the singer says she was bullied as a child at school, and even had a girl bring a knife to school and threaten her with it.

“I was bullied when I was a kid — when I was in junior high,” she said. “A lot of girls can get real mean during the 6th grade year. I used to perform around Dallas and Texas where I lived a lot. My principal would put something on the bulletin board if I was in the newspaper or something, and there was this clique of girls that did not like it. So, I had my locker egged, I had a girl bring a knife to school the last day of 6th grade and tried to kill me! Awesome. So, I’d say I was bullied a little.”

Rimes and her new rival have taken to Twitter to vent their frustrations, luckily, so no weapons have been involved. She has accused Glanville of being a bully in the past; the reality show star wasn’t shy about letting the public know how she felt about the affair, which began when Cibrian and Rimes worked together on a television movie.

“I think I opened up the can of worms for myself by writing this record. There were a lot of things I didn’t even realize I was feeling…I needed to go somewhere and really process all of that stuff. I was feeling all these crazy emotions and feeling terrible about myself and was disgusted by myself and thought I was pathetic,” Rimes said.

Rimes recently participated in a campaign against bullying which involved her flipping us all off; you can see photos here.
