Lea Michele broke her public silence this past week and talked about the death of her boyfriend Cory Monteith. It also seems like the 27 year old “Glee” actress’ heart may be ready to open back up again as well. Apparently rumors spread like wild fire when an insider told Us Weekly that they overheard Michele talking about a “cute boy” at a party that she was excited to see.
Cory Monteith died of a heroin and alcohol overdose this past July at the age of 31. The young actor had a history of drug and alcohol abuse. Monteith and Michele’s romance was ignited on the set of the hit television program “Glee.” The show had an emotional tribute episode for Monteith’s character Finn Hudson which aired on October 10th.
Lea Michele sang Adele’s version of the Bob Dylan ballad, “Make You Feel My Love” for the tribute show. The special episode called “The Quarterback” was obviously difficult for everyone involved as a mix of life and art collided. “Glee” co-creator Ryan Murphy described the process, “It was rough. It was very rough. It was very rough with Lea [Michele] … but I’m very proud of it. I think the performances are quite stunning. People still are not over it — it’s still very, very difficult.”
Grab your tissues, here’s a great video with Lea Michele singing “Make You Feel My Love” over still shots of Lea and Cory.
