Lamar Odom has been sentenced to three years of probation in his DUI case, which stemmed from an arrest in August following erratic driving.
“The case was resolved,” a spokesperson from the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office said. “His lawyer was in court this morning, and advanced the case [after he] entered a no-contest plea.”
In addition to probation, Odom will have to complete three months of an alcohol education program and pay $1,800 in fines. He will also have to earn his driver’s license back, as it was suspended due to his non-compliance with a chemical test after his arrest. He did fail a field sobriety test, however.
Odom and wife Khloe Kardashian have seen several rocky spots in 2013; Odom reportedly ducked out on an intervention she’d set up for him and then went missing for several days over the summer. Around that same time, a woman claiming she had an affair with Odom came forward to the press and said Khloe had caught them in a hotel room. Since then, rumors of impending divorce have been flying, something Kardashian denies.
There have also been rumors of drug abuse–specifically, the use of crack–but according to a “source” at Us Weekly, Odom isn’t in jeopardy with the Clippers, with whom he is expected to sign again.
“Lamar is training and in good shape,” the source said. “The teams aren’t concerned about the drug use,” another source added. “If he stays mentally focused, he can help win games.”
