Kurt Russell has been rumored for a while now to have joined the cast of “Fast And Furious 7”, and a new photo from the set has confirmed it.
The iconic action star joins Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Paul Walker in the film, although there’s been no confirmation so far on what character he’s playing. The film is directed by James Wan and is set in Tokyo, and will have a July 2014 release.
With “Fast And Furious 6” pulling in over $740 million, another installment in the series was pretty much a sure thing; now, the trick will be to add on more big names to draw in viewers. With Russell, we get a veteran action star known for “Escape From L.A.”, “Death Proof”, and “Escape From New York”. There are also rumors that MMA champ Ronda Rousey will be joining the cast as well, but nothing has been finalized for her character yet.
