“America’s Got Talent” isn’t your average talent show. There are singers and dancers and everything in between, but sometimes a special sort of skill comes along on stage and the judges–a panel which includes Howard Stern this year–can’t help but vote the contestant on to the next round in Vegas, no matter how silly it may be.
Such was the case for “Horse”, a 25-year old father of two who has parlayed being able to take a swift hit to the groin into a talent worthy of the big stage. He says it all started when he was a kid and would wrestle around with his brother, discovering along the way that kicks to the crotch didn’t faze him at all. I’ve heard of this phenomenon, but never actually seen it in action. In fact, I don’t know any males who wouldn’t double up in pain just watching this video.
Horse is accompanied by three buddies, who take turns kicking, slamming 2×4’s into, and smashing concrete blocks on his junk (with a sledgehammer!). At one point he takes his pants off and shows the audience (through boxer shorts) that he’s not wearing a cup. Still, Howard isn’t convinced that his friends aren’t just taking it easy on him, and asks host Nick Cannon to come out and give a few kicks of his own. If you listen closely, you can hear what sounds like a popping noise on Cannon’s third kick. It’s enough to turn your stomach, if such things bother you. But Horse seems fairly calm throughout and walks it off, which is a talent on its own. He is rewarded with a new name–“King of the Nut Shots”, dubbed by Howard–and by being sent through to the next round by a unanimous vote, so this isn’t the last we’ll see of Horse.
