On the latest installment of hit show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, it was revealed that Kim Kardashian wanted to adopt one of the orphans at the Thai orphanage they visited earlier this year. She “fell in love” with the young Thai girl and even called her husband Kanye West on the phone to ask him about adopting. The episode aired Sunday.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians is currently showing the family’s trip to Thailand, on which their tour guide suggested they make a stop at a local orphanage. The stars of the show brought donations and supplies, including footballs, a volleyball kit and other sports equipment, to the orphanage and spent time with the children staying there. Kardashian became attached to a 12-year-old girl named Pink while playing with Lego blocks with her and her friends.

She was so taken with the girl that she expressed her desire to adopt her and make her part of her small family, which includes West and their one-year-old daughter North West. Kardashian’s mother Kris Jenner, however, did not immediately approve of the idea, cautioning her to think about the decision carefully.

Jenner said, “That’s a little aggressive. I think that you can’t just go to an orphanage and fall in love with a child and then take them home like you’re shopping. You get very passionate about things and then you don’t think the whole thing through. I bet there are other things that you could do that would make all the difference in this little girl’s life.”

It turned out that adoption was not an option available for Pink, but Kim responded by giving the children more gifts.

“I grew up with such a strong family bond and connection, it makes me so sad that these kids don’t have that family element,” she said.
