Keile Sanchez of Kingdom fame and hubby Zach Gilford of Friday Night Lights are mourning the loss of her late-term pregnancy.

Due to give birth to a baby boy next month, Kiele Sanchez confirmed her pregnancy just a couple of months ago, while promoting Kingdom.

“I am playing a woman who is pretty detached from the thing that’s growing inside her, and I couldn’t be more excited about my pregnancy. So when I slip into [my character] Lisa, I’m at odds with this thing down here,” she said.

“It’s something that I think that she at certain points really questions her decision to keep it, which couldn’t be further from my own life. So it’s a weird, strange, strange thing, especially when he kicks during a scene, you have to go on as if this thing didn’t just move inside your body. So it’s bizarre,” she added.

Zach Gilford and Kiele Sanchez wed in 2012 following a two-year courtship.

A rep for Kiele Sanchez and Zach Gilford issued a statement about the couple’s devastating loss.

“We regretfully confirm that Zach Gilford and Kiele Sanchez recently lost their child to a late term miscarriage. No additional details will be made available. We thank everyone in advance for their sensitivity and discretion during this difficult time,” the statement reads.

Miscarriages are horrible losses to the mothers and fathers eagerly awaiting the birth of a child. Late-term losses like this one are even more devastating.

Prayers are surely going out to Kiele Sanchez and Zach Gilford at this incredibly sad time.
