  • Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have been rumored for months to have an escalating feud, and although neither of them has exactly denied it, they now have one more reason for bad blood: Perry beat out Swift to earn the title of highest paid musician for the year.

Perry even posed for the cover of Forbes earlier in 2015 and has reportedly earned $135 million with her “Prismatic” world tour. The singer took to social media afterward to clear up her reasons for posing for the cover, saying she was proud of all she had accomplished and is hoping to inspire others.

“Before accepting the offer to be on the cover of Forbes, I was told that a lot of women have previously shied away from doing it. I wondered if it was because they thought socially it would look like they were flaunting or bragging or it wasn’t a humble decision. Ladies, there is a difference between being humble and working hard to see the fruits of your labor blossom, and your dreams realized. Hopefully this cover can be an inspiration to women out there that it’s okay to be proud of hard earned success and that there is no shame in being a boss. Also… don’t think that I didn’t celebrate this moment by going straight to Taco Bell and getting my crunch wrap supreme,” Perry wrote on Instagram.

Katy Perry recently released a video focusing on climate change and the effect it will have on future generations, saying that few world leaders are taking it seriously.

“Droughts, floods, heat waves and other severe weather conditions are putting children at an increased risk of disease and malnutrition, as well as destroying their families’ homes and livelihoods. The worst part about this is that some of the youngest and most vulnerable citizens of our world are bearing the most unfair burden of climate change. Let’s encourage our world leaders to take this issue seriously. Share your story on how you are helping reduce climate change with the hashtag #FightUnfair. Together we can help change the forecast for millions of children,” Perry said.
