It seems like every week, I’m writing about a new injury on “Dancing With The Stars”. I thought for a while that maybe this season just had a Gypsy curse put on it or something, but now I’m leaning more towards the possibility that the routines are getting more and more difficult.
Melissa Gilbert, Maria Menounos, and William Levy have all suffered an injury this season, and now Katherine Jenkins can add herself to that list. Jenkins says she “felt her back go” during a backbend with partner Mark Ballas and was able to make it to the end of the show, when all the contestants come onstage, but she was clearly in pain.
The night started off well for the duo, who earned near-perfect scores with a quickstep and a tango that had the judges raving. But the visible injury at the end of their salsa number cost them dearly in points, putting them in the bottom.
It’s unclear how bad Jenkins’ injury is right now, so only time will tell if she’s able to finish the competition.
Katherine Jenkins’ DWTS injury is actually breaking my heart…
