  • Katherine Heigl first shone on TV on Grey’s Anatomy. After playing Izzie Stevens from 2005 to 2010, she returned to TV on State of Affairs. NBC cancelled that show in May after just one season.

Now, in a new show called Doubt, from Grey’s Anatomy executive producers Tony Phelan and Joan Rater, Katherine Heigl is set to make yet another return to TV. So far, the show also stars Teddy Sears, Dule Hill, Laverne Cox, Kobi Libii, Elliott Gould, and Dreama Walker.

Doubt is about Sadie (played by Katherine Heigl), who is a smart, chic, successful defense lawyer at a boutique firm who becomes romantically involved with one of her clients who may or may not be guilty of a brutal crime.

Katherine Heigl left Grey’s Anatomy on less than great terms. In 2008, she removed her name from a list of Emmy nominees, saying she wasn’t “given the material to warrant a nomination.”

Are you surprised that Grey’s Anatomy producers would want to once again work with Katherine Heigl?

Hopefully Doubt spends more time on the air than State of Affairs. Fans loved Katherine Heigl in that show as Charleston Tucker, and were disappointed when the show was cancelled.

Do you think Katherine Heigl will ever find a role like that of Izzie Stevens again?
