Kat Von D’s famed tattoo shop was damaged after an early morning fire ripped through the West Hollywood strip mall.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 1200 block of North La Brea Avenue at approximately 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 23.
According to Los Angeles County Fire Capt. Brian Jordan, an estimated 50 firefighters responded to the blaze and were able to salvage some items from the parlor and neighboring stores.
Kat’s parlor High Voltage was featured on TLC’s LA Ink for four seasons before being pulled from the network. The show followed Kat as she managed her shop and her employees and showed viewers some of their most unique tattoo designs.
Obviously upset and angry, Kat could be seen in a video obtained by TMZ yelling at reporters and pushing the cameras out of her face.
“You guys want a f***ing interview, seriously?” Kat could be heard saying. “You guys, come on. Have some f***ing respect. Seriously, do you feel better about yourself? Oh yeah, get the lens, you f***ing idiot.”
She then knocked one of the camerawoman’s hats off and said, “Dude, you guys are awful. Your mother should be embarrassed.”
Later that night, Kat took to Twitter to share a photo of her and her employees’ hands. “That which does not kill us makes us stronger. @highvoltagetat,” she wrote.

The same picture was shared on her parlor’s site and was captioned by saying, “Thank you guys for all the love & support. Don’t worry, we’ll be up and running in no time. Xoxo.”
There were no injuries reported in the fire and the cause is still under investigation.
