Kanye West Is an 'Insult to Music Fans,' Says Online Petition Wanting Him Booted from Festival

Apparently under the odd impression that Kanye West is not entertaining, a UK man has started a Change.org petition in the hopes of convincing the Glastonbury music festival to cancel his show.

This week, Glastonbury announced that Kanye would headline the festival's Saturday night lineup, and Neil Lonsdale immediately created a petition.

"Kanye West is an insult to music fans all over the world. We spend hundreds of pounds to attend glasto, and by doing so, expect a certain level of entertainment," reads the petition. "Kanye has been very outspoken on his views on music....he should listen to his own advice and pass his headline slot on to someone deserving! Lets prevent this musical injustice now!"

The petition has amassed 65,000 signatures in just three days.

According to an interview with Lonsdale published by the BBC, he'd rather see a rock band.

"Oasis, or Blur, David Bowie would be a dream. A good solid performance, maybe Green Day. I've seen those a few times and they really know how to put on a show," he said.

"I think a lot of people want to go to a festival, stand in a field, all come together, have a sing have a dance. And I think that Kanye and his music might not be that."

It's unlikely that Mr. Lonsdale has ever been to a Kanye show. It's clear that plenty of people have a problem with Kanye as a headliner – but it's not because Kanye isn't headliner material. You might not like him, but he's anything but dull.
