Julianne Moore, while promoting her movie The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 2, stopped by Stephen Colbert’s show and was subjected to a round of questioning regarding her life as a redhead.
Of course, Julianne Moore was a good sport when Colbert said, “You’re like a ginger icon. When you think redhead, you think Julianne Moore.”
Total truth. Julianne Moore is one of Hollywood’s most gorgeous redheads, if not THE most gorgeous.
Colbert continued his line of questioning by addressing a redhead myth.
He asked Julianne Moore, “How do you feel about the myth or the rumors that gingers have no souls?”
She answered, “I have complicated feelings about it, about being a redhead in general. Because people have expectations that somehow your hair has something to do with your personality. You’re either feisty or you’re sexy.”
With Julianne Moore, one supposition about redheads does ring true. She is quite tough.
This was proven when only a few weeks ago, Julianne Moore had to have an emergency appendectomy.
Julianne Moore told People of the event, saying, “It was crazy. During the summer I do a lot of yoga, but I got a bursa on my shoulder so I had to lay off the yoga. Then I got appendicitis so I was like, ‘What the hell is happening?!'”
She admitted, “Oh my God, I was in so much unbearable pain, I thought I was going to die.”
But Julianne Moore didn’t die. And she keeps a rather gross souvenir of her ordeal.
Julianne Moore said that her hubby, Bart Freundlich, took photos of her removed appendix so she could show “everyone, whether they ask or not. It’s really gross!”
Well, that proves that Julianne Moore is one tough redhead. Do you know any other redhead myths that have been proven true in your life?
