Julianne Moore got her start in soap operas. She played both Frannie Hughes and her evil twin (because doesn’t every soap character have an evil twin?) on As the World Turns. On Monday night, Moore and John Stamos created their own soap opera of sorts on the Late Late Show With James Corden. The show’s host took part, too, channeling some kind of slicked-back greaser type–a la John Travolta in Grease. The soap’s dialogue came in the form of Taylor Swift song lyrics–snippets from several of her hit songs.
The result is, of course, a hilarious mash up of words and bad acting. Check out John Stamos as John Stamosa, James Corden as James Cordone, and Julianne Moore as Juliette Moore in The Bold and the Lyrical.
How’s that for dead-pan delivery of some cheesy lines? Julianne Moore is a pro at this kind of work. John Stamos and James Corden aren’t so bad either. Can’t you see the three starring in some kind of a Lifetime Christmas movie?
Almost as much fun–but not quite–is this flashback to when Julianne Moore actually starred in a soap opera.
It’s not often fans get to see Julianne Moore lounge around in a silk robe and throw her luxe tresses over her shoulder. Only Taylor Swift lines could prompt this kind of dramatic display.

Should Julianne Moore, John Stamos, and James Corden hit up producers with a script? Is there a soap spoof in their futures?
