Josh Duggar is part of what was once a huge TV family. His sexual molestation of his sisters when he was a teen cost the Duggar family their reality show–19 Kids and Counting–in recent months, however.

Known for creating scripts that are “ripped from the headlines,” the Josh Duggar story was the basis of Wednesday night’s episode of Law & Order: SVU.

The episode, titled Patrimonial Burden, centers on a TV reality family with 10 children instead of the Duggar family’s 19. One of the daughters–a 13-year-old–becomes pregnant. Cast regulars Mariska Hargitay as Olivia Benson, in addition to Ice-T, Kelli Giddish, and Peter Scanavino star. Andy Karl and Geneva Carr guest star as the reality show parents.

“With the Duggar one, it was like the double-whammy because it was his sisters and the fact–I mean, honestly, I feel like we’re dealing with some topics this season that feel a bit meatier than some lunatic fringe family,” Scanavino told reporters of the similarities to the first Josh Duggar scandal. “I have never been so infuriated with someone’s level of hypocrisy, and lying, and then displacement of responsibility onto something else.”

“When I think about that guy, it boils my blood, I will say,” he adds of Josh Duggar.

Josh Duggar has since put his family through a second sex scandal. It was discovered during the recent Ashley Madison hacking scandal that Josh Duggar had two accounts on the cheater’s website. He has since admitted to having an addiction to pornography and to having cheating on his wife, Anna Duggar.

Josh Duggar is presently in a Christian rehab facility called Reformers Unanimous, where he is receiving counseling for his “sexual sins.”

It will be interesting to see how closely Law & Order: SVU mirrors the first Josh Duggar sex scandal.
