Joe Gorga and Joe Giudice appeared together on an episode of Watch What Happens Live recently, and a match of the Blame Game started immediately. According to Giudice, his brother-in-law is to blame for the family’s troubles because he instigated so much bad blood.
When Joe Gorga told host Andy Cohen that he blames Giudice for Teresa going to prison for tax fraud, Giudice shot back, “I would blame more him than anybody, coming on the show and talking all the crap he talked, you know, all the years everything going on, so I would more blame him than me.”
The episode garnered quite a bit of talk on Twitter, where fans immediately called Joe G. out for not taking responsibility for his family’s legal battles. However, Joe responded by saying he takes his share of the blame.
Teresa has been incarcerated for several months after the couple was found guilty of tax fraud, but her attorney said recently that he’s hoping to have her home by Christmas. Her original release date was scheduled for early 2016; Joe will begin his sentence after she’s released.
One thing both men can agree on is that life has changed for everyone in their circle since Teresa went away; for Joe Giudice, the changes have been difficult to adjust to as he continues to be the sole parent to their four daughters.
“Nothing matters anymore. Life can just change in a minute. You don’t take life for granted anymore. Who knows what can happen — car accident, death,” Joe Gorga said.
Joe Gorga’s wife Melissa has had quite a bit of bad blood with Teresa, but has been trying to be there for the girls in her absence. And while the eldest daughter, Gia, says she isn’t sure how she feels about that yet, Melissa says it’s important to hold the family together during a big change.
“Sometimes it takes a horrible situation to make families realize how important one another are, and I never ever want to go back to that dark place again. Ever,” Melissa Gorga said.
