Jill Duggar gave birth to baby Israel David Dillard on Monday night, and since coming home from the hospital has been the recipient of lots of help from the 19 Kids and Counting family.
“We are so blessed to have such a great family and such great support here at the hospital with the doctors and the nursing staff,” Jill Duggar Dillard said during an interview with People magazine. “My sisters and my mom and Derick’s mom have all been in to help!”
Not everyone in the family has met Israel yet, but “everyone is over the moon and so excited about him being born,” Jill said.
Proud dad Derick Dillard had an appointment to get braces put on his teeth this week, so grandparents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar stepped up to the plate. Jim Bob Duggar drove Derick to his appointment while Michelle stayed with Jill and the baby.

Joy-Anna Duggar, who is 17, spent a night at the hospital with Jill following the baby’s birth. She and Jason, who is 14, and Jennifer, who is seven, are part of a three-person buddy team Jill and Derick set up within the family to help welcome their son into the fold.
How wonderful that Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have so much help from their 19 Kids and Counting family–as well as from Derick’s mom–since Israel David Duggar was born. Surely that will continue for a long time to come. Such is the way of life in the 19 Kids and Counting family.
Jill Duggar will surely one day repay the favor–perhaps when sister Jessa Duggar, who tied the knot in November, has her first child.
