In a statement, a rep for Jessica Simpson‘s mother confirmed the news, saying, “After 2 years of dating, Jon Goldstein and Tina Simpson are engaged. They are thrilled and completely in love!”
This is exciting news for Jessica Simpson’s mother. She was previously, and famously, married to Joe Simpson for 34 long years.
The lucky man that gets to marry into Jessica Simpson’s family is a high-end landscaper named Jon Goldstein. He owns Johnny Appleseed Landscaping, which has landscaped for properties like the Bel-Air Hotel.
Tina shared the news herself on Instagram.
The caption read, “He put a ring on it #intheclouds #gardener4life #loveofmylife.”
They appeared together at Jessica Simpson’s 2014 wedding to Eric Johnson and reportedly shared accommodations.
Jessica Simpson and her sister, Ashlee, are just as excited about the union.
A source close to the family said, “They’re happy that their mom is happy.”
A friend of Jon Goldstein said, “He’s a really nice guy.”
The friend added, “He’s always cared about Tina…He’s known them for 15 years and has been a part of their family. He’s so happy she said yes! I know he had been planning on asking her for a while.”
