Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake are suing the British magazine Heat, after the publication allegedly published unauthorized pictures of the couple as well as false quotes.
The lawsuit has been filed in the High Court in Dublin against the magazine’s publishers, the German Bauer Media Group.
The magazine has German publishers, but the couple’s attorney thought it best to file in Ireland.
They chose to file the lawsuit in Ireland because Heat sells a lot of magazines there and throughout Europe and the couple wanted to make sure that the lawsuit was handled quickly. Filing the suit in the High Court means a swifter action.

“We have issued defamation proceedings [against Germany-based Bauer Media Group] on behalf of our clients, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, in relation to an article and a headline in [British tabloid] Heat magazine,” Paul Tweed, attorney for Timberlake and Biel, said in a statement.
Because of the nature of the lawsuit, details were not available.
“We are suing in Ireland in relation to publication in all jurisdictions, as our clients are entitled to do,” the couple’s attorney added.
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have been married for two years. They have dealt with a lot of rumors over the years, and one of the most recent claims that Justin cheated on Jessica and that she is pregnant.

Neither Jessica nor Justin has confirmed or denied these rumors, but if the gossip magazines and tabloids who publish the rumors aren’t careful, they could find themselves being sued by the couple as well.
