NCIS finally solves a long time mystery with the help of Jeri Ryan.
Ryan guest stars on the hit CBS series as Leroy Jethro Gibbs'(Mark Harmon) second ex-wife, Rebecca. She appears on a January 2015 episode of the show. Last January, NCIS showrunner, Gary Glasberg, teased about the possibility of meeting the final member of the Gibbs’ ex-wives club.
“I can promise you that it is probably going to get touched on in Season 12,” Glasberg revealed to TVLine. He also teased that it would be storyline “gold.”
All Gibbs ex-wives, whom happen to be redheads, have had a turbulent past with him. His first wife, Shannon (Darby Stanchfield), was murdered, along with their 8-year-old daughter, by a Mexican drug dealer. Next Gibbs exchanged vows with Diane (Melinda McGraw). She is also the ex of Agent Fornell (Joe Spano). Shannon left Gibbs and drained his bank account. Then Ryan’s character, Rebecca, became Gibbs’ third wife, second ex-wife. Finally Gibbs wed Stephanie (Kathleen York), who also left him.

Ryan is the only ex-wife of Gibbs yet to have her story unfold on the series. This winter, fans of NCIS finally learn what happened between the divorcees. In a statement, Glasberg spoke about adding Ryan to the Gibbs’ relationships saga, “After 12 seasons there was still one ex-wife to cast opposite Gibbs and we found her in the beautiful and talented Jeri Ryan. We’re all very excited to have Jeri join us for a storyline that’s chock full of surprises.” Ryan’s most well-known TV credits include Star Trek: Voyager, Boston Public, and Body of Proof. She recently played Constance Sutton on Helix
NCIS airs on CBS on Tuesdays at 7:00 pm CST.
