Jennifer Love Hewitt opened up about her new life as a mother and wife on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday for the first time since giving birth to her daughter and marrying her husband, Brian Hallisay, in November 2013, and showed off her new blonde hairstyle.

Hewitt looked demure in black pants topped with a red blazer and white blouse, and revealed that she was six weeks pregnant when she last appeared on the talk show in April 2013, when she wore a sexy and revealing Little Black Dress. 

“I was already pregnant but I couldn’t tell anybody,” the 25-year-old actress told DeGeneres.

“Wardrobe put me in this dress and I was like, ‘Oh … awesome. This looks great!'” she said.

Hewitt wed Hallisay, her Client List co-star, just five days before giving birth to their daughter, Autumn.

“It was just the two of us and then we went to Bed, Bath and Beyond because that’s what married people do,” Hewitt said.

“It was very, it was really sweet and he’s an awesome, incredible father and a great husband and I just feel really lucky,” she said.

Hewitt also launched the maternity clothing line she designed Tuesday in collaboration with the chain, A Pea in the Pod. A party, for her line, L by Jennifer Love Hewitt, took place at the store in Beverly Hills and drew Hollywood A-list stars who are pregnant, including Megan Hilty of Smash, and The Office alum Jenna Fischer.

The actress admitted in an interview with E! that she is having a difficult time losing the pregnancy weight and that she is still wearing her maternity clothes after giving birth five months ago.

“It just feels great to sort of be honest about the fact that it is tough and these clothes make it a little easier, make me feel beautiful,” she explained.

“I’m still in a lot of my pregnancy clothes and there is just where I feel good right now. Everything hasn’t returned back to where I want it to be and put on my other clothes and feel good about that,” Hewitt said.

Hewitt also told DeGeneres that she and her daughter watch The Ellen DeGeneres Show together.
