  • Not only has Jennifer Aniston been in the news lately with her questionable engagement with actor Justin Theroux, the Friends star also seems determined to get rid of her all-American girl-next-door title.

In 2011, 45-year old Aniston starred in the comedy Horrible Bosses, where she played a sexually aggresive dentist alongside Charlie Day. Then in 2013, she stepped up the game, appearing as a stripper in the comedy We’re the Millers, a story about a drug dealer with a fake family.

Though Horrible Bosses 2 is slated to hit theaters later this year, Aniston continues to push the limits of her image, soon possibly starring in the comedy Mean Moms.

Though Mean Moms has not officially been given the go-ahead by New Line Pictures, Aniston is currently in negotiations to star in the adaptation of Rosalind Wiseman’s book “Queen Bee Moms and King Pin Dads: Dealing With the Parents, Teachers, Coaches, and Counselors Who Can Make – or Break – Your Child’s Future.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wiseman also wrote “Queen Bees and Wannabes,” which led to the 2004 comedy, Mean Girls starring Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams. However, Mean Moms will not be a sequel to that film, only keeping the “spirit” of it.

The film, directed by Beth McCarthy-Miller, will follow a newcomer who tries to find common ground with her suburban neighbors, all trying to on-up each other’s parenting. No word yet on which type of “mom” Aniston will play.

As well as Horrible Bosses 2 and Mean Moms, Aniston is set to star in the comedy, Life of Crime, starring John Hawkes, Tim Robbins, and Mos Def. Life of Crime will hit theaters in September 2014.
