Jennifer Aniston talked recently about her younger years, revealing that her parents were strict when it came to makeup, and said she’s glad they were.
The former Friends actress says she wasn’t allowed to wear cosmetics until she was 15 years old because her mom and dad didn’t want her to grow up too fast. Now, she says, she sees young girls looking like they’re camera-ready and wants to tell them how it is.
“My parents were very strict that way. They didn’t want me to grow up too fast. I wasn’t allowed to wear make-up until I was 15. I see kids now at 12 years old in full make-up, and I want to, like, shake them and go, ‘You really don’t understand how fast it’s about to end. Don’t try to grow up!’ Now I officially sound like an old person,” she told People.
Jennifer’s old ways are still ingrained, as she still doesn’t like to wear heavy makeup. She does, however, still like to make her own fragrances like she did when she was younger.
“Miss Dior was the first perfume I owned. It doesn’t smell the same anymore, because it was literally for kids. That was the only reason my mom would let me wear it, even though I would always sneak her perfumes. When my girlfriends began to get married, I’d bring bottles of oils to bachelorette parties. Everyone would pass around this beautiful glass antique perfume jar, and then we’d all put in drops of oil and set an intention for the bride,” Aniston said.
Jennifer made headlines this week when she met up with Houston Texans player J.J. Watt, who has been a longtime fan of the actress. Watt said on Twitter that he couldn’t play it cool when it finally happened thanks to their shared talent agency.
”I’m not even going to try to pretend like I acted cool when this happened,” Watt said of meeting Jennifer Aniston.
