Jana Duggar is reportedly tired of caring for all of her younger siblings. The 19 Kids and Counting star is the eldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, and has recently watched two of her sisters marry and leave the nest. Jana is no doubt feeling left behind.
Jill Duggar married Derick Dillard back in June and is expecting her first baby within weeks. Jessa Duggar married Ben Seewald in November. Now, it seems, much of the child-rearing and housekeeping duties are falling on Jana Duggar, and she’s decided she wants something more than this Cinderella life.
At 25, Jana has decided that she wants to go to college, and do something more with her life than care for her siblings.
“She told her parents that she was looking at Christian colleges and would be applying soon,” a source tells OK! magazine.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar aren’t particularly pleased with this idea. In the 19 Kids and Counting household the young women are expected to live at home until they’ve found a man suitable for marriage. While they certainly can pursue an education, they live at home while doing so.
Do you suppose Jana Duggar will really leave the nest–the only one she’s known for 25 years? And if she goes to college, what do you think she’ll study?
The world is at Jana Duggar’s fingertips and is definitely hers for the taking. She needs only to decide what path she wants to follow, and then hope her parents don’t throw a wrench called guilt at her plans.
