Comedy Central has just announced that actor James Franco will be the next victim for their Comedy Central Roast series.
The roast will take place in August and will debut on Comedy Central on Labor Day.
“If only James Franco was a more successful, multi-hyphenated, incessant creative risk taker in different media, he’d be the perfect person to roast. Oh well…I suppose we’ll just have to make do,” said Kent Alterman, President of Content Development & Original Programming at Comedy Central.
I see a lot of Oscar-hosting jokes in Franco’s future.
Comedy Central isn’t just planning on roasting Franco – they’ve also acquired the exclusive rights to Francophrenia, a documentary described as “a front-row seat to Franco’s experience during his stint on General Hospital. That documentary, which is directed by Franco himself, will debut after the roast.
